This October 007 fans will finally be able to get their hands on some Blu-ray versions of the classic James Bond movies.
The movies will be released in volumes similar to what was done the special edition DVDs. Each volume contains 3 movies and retail at about $90. So far two volumes have been announced. Volume one contains Dr. No, Die Another Day, and Lie and Let Die. Volume two contain For Your Eyes Only, From Russia With Love, and Thunderball. Each movie will also be sold individually.
It was only a matter of time before the original Bond movies made their way to Blu-ray. After reading around a little bit I have concluded that the special features on the Blu-ray discs are the same that are featured on the current special edition DVD box sets. Therefore if you are like me and invested in all the special edition DVD box sets, then chances are you will be holding off on picking up the Blu-ray versions.
But if you have yet to buy the James Bond movies and you have a PS3 or Blu-ray player, then I strongly encourage you to pick the Blu-ray sets. It’s a great way to prepare for the upcoming Quantum of Solace.
